Individual Class I Area Reports

The individual Class I area reports combine monitoring, modeling, and emissions data, and associated analyses, for all WRAP federal and tribal Class I areas.
Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area North Cascades National Park
Glacier Peak Wilderness Area Olympic National Park
Goat Rocks Wilderness Area Pasayten Wilderness Area
Mount Adams Wilderness Area Spokane Tribe of Indians
Mount Rainier National Park

Regional Aerosol Mass and Extinction
The following link leads to maps which depict the average, deciview, and standard visual range of the 20% worst days monitored in the WRAP region in 2002. These products are similar in style and content to what is available for the entire U.S. on the VIEWS Web site, but were modified to include only data from 68 western IMPROVE monitoring sites. Since no data from urban monitoring sites were included in the generation of these products, the results should be interpreted for wilderness areas only. (All maps were generated by Rodger Ames of CIRA.)

Regional Emissions
The following link leads to maps which depict the 36x36 km gridded emissions summaries for the CMAQ modeling domain. Maps are available for NOx, SO2, VOC, NH3, PM2.5 and PMC emissions, displayed in tons/year. Emissions for each grid cell on each map represent summations from categories including point, area, mobile, dust, fire and biogenic sources. These maps display the interim emissions used in Phase I of the AoH project. Links to detailed emissions inventories can be found under Emissions Inventory Information below.

State Emissions
The following link leads to state specific maps of the same emissions data displayed above, and with the addition of Class I areas, major cities, and interstate highways for reference.

Apportionment of State Emissions to Class I Areas
The following links lead to charts and tables displaying the apportionment of state contributions of sulfate (SO4), nitrate (NO3), and extinction to Class I areas within the WRAP region. Charts have been generated based on the Tagged Species Source Apportionment (TSSA) method. Only the Class I areas with the highest contribution percentages are included (typically shown are contributions down to about 5%). The data table (Excel) file contains TSSA and Trajectory Regression Analysis (TRA) results summarized for all states and Class I areas in tabular format.
