The mission of the TDD-WG is to assist and advise WRAP on gathering tribal air quality data and other air quality issues related to the WRAP mission from Tribes in the WRAP area. The TDD-WG will work with the other WRAP forum and non-tribal communities to improve understanding communities of protocols and processes for obtaining and using tribal data. In addition to assisting in gathering existing air quality and air emissions data, the TDD-WG will help devise a plan for filling the gaps in the tribal data.
The active members of the TDD-WG are either members or employees of federally recognized tribes in the WRAP area that will be impacted by WRAP decisions. The working group constituency covers a broad geographical area from Native American communities with diverse air emissions issues and cultural customs.
In order to accomplish its mission, the TDD-WG has laid out a multi-year plan, budget and schedule that is revisited and revised annually to meet changing demands and restraints imposed by WRAP and the tribal community which it serves. While the work group makes extensive use of telecommunications and e-mail to conduct business, four meeting work sessions are held per year to maintain schedule and provide a forum for discussions and group closure on important issues and problems.
